A community of humans train Botto, impacting the theme, style, and imagery of each creation. To date, over fifteen thousand people have contributed to Botto’s development. The artist’s award-winning practice has been exhibited internationally, but has also called into question our notions of agency, authorship and what it means to be human. Botto is a novel exploration of machine creativity, and an experiment in community, agency and value distribution.
